Challenges and trends
The social capital of networks supports us in our profession, during our career and in finding ideas; it can be a source of success and fulfilment. Just as with financial capital, social capital needs to be wisely invested.
To acquire skills, knowledge and new ideas, employees and managers need good internal and external networks.
It is highly important that employees, managers and the organisation (eg. The HR department) have the ability to build and cultivate effective networks which can enhance personal skills, performance and contribute to the development of the organisation:
Human capital (knowledge, experience) + social capital (relationships, trust) = our contribution.
